The Microsoft Surface Pro strikes a compelling balance between tablet convenience and laptop practicality, and this latest Copilot+ PC feels particularly well suited to people who want one device for work, browsing and entertainment. The 12-inch LCD touchscreen is a comfortable size: spacious enough for everyday tasks without making the device feel cumbersome. The Platinum finish also gives it a clean, understated look that feels suitably premium. Performance is where the Surface Pro makes a strong impression. With the Snapdragon X Plus processor, 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD, everyday tasks feel quick and responsive. Switching between browser tabs, documents and productivity apps is generally smooth, while the solid-state storage provides plenty of room for files without making the device feel sluggish. It is not designed as a high-end workstation or gaming machine, but for typical office work, study and general use, it has more than enough power. The included keyboard adds consider...

The Nikon Z5II is a full-frame mirrorless camera that strikes a convincing balance between capable performance and sensible design. It feels like a camera built for photographers who want room to grow without stepping into the bulk or complexity of a professional flagship. From the first few outings, its combination of handling, image quality and modern features makes a strong impression. Design is one of the Z5II’s strengths. The body feels solid and reassuring in the hand, while the controls are sensibly laid out and easy to reach. The electronic viewfinder is clear and responsive, and the fully articulated touchscreen adds welcome flexibility when shooting from awkward angles or composing video. It is a practical design rather than one that tries to impress for the sake of it, which suits the camera well. Performance is equally convincing. The full-frame sensor produces detailed images with pleasing colour and plenty of scope for editing, particularly when shooting RAW. Autofocus is...

The Crucial Pro DDR5 64GB Kit is the sort of memory upgrade that makes sense for anyone building a capable modern PC and wanting plenty of headroom for demanding workloads. With two 32GB modules running at 5600MHz, it offers a generous amount of capacity without becoming unnecessarily complicated to install or configure. Design-wise, the kit takes a fairly understated approach. There is no excessive styling or distracting RGB lighting, which will appeal to anyone who prefers a clean-looking build. The standard DIMM format also makes it straightforward to fit into a compatible desktop system, while the 2x32GB configuration leaves room for future expansion on motherboards with four memory slots. Performance is where this kit really earns its keep. A 5600MHz speed provides a useful step up from older DDR4 platforms, and the inclusion of both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO support is particularly convenient. Rather than spending time manually tuning memory settings, compatible systems c...

The GIGABYTE X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7 is a feature-packed motherboard aimed at anyone building a high-end AMD Ryzen system without wanting to compromise on connectivity or future expansion. Built around the X870E chipset, it has a purposeful, modern design and enough hardware under the hood to make it a strong foundation for both demanding workstations and gaming PCs. One of its biggest strengths is the power delivery. The 16+2+2 digital VRM configuration provides plenty of headroom for Ryzen 9000 processors, while the substantial heatsinks help keep temperatures under control during heavier workloads. DDR5 support at speeds of up to 8000 MT/s (OC) also gives enthusiasts plenty of room to experiment, although achieving the highest advertised speeds will depend on the memory kit and processor. Expansion is another highlight. With three PCIe 5.0 slots, there is considerable flexibility for fast storage and future upgrades. Storage support is similarly generous, making the board feel desig...

The NVIDIA DGX Spark is an intriguing piece of hardware aimed squarely at users who want serious AI computing power without stepping up to a traditional workstation or server. Its compact black chassis gives it a clean, understated look, while the specifications make it clear that this is a machine designed with demanding workloads in mind. At its heart is a 20-core Arm processor configuration, combining 10 Cortex-X925 and 10 Cortex-A725 cores with 128GB of unified LPDDR5x memory. That generous memory capacity is particularly useful for AI development, allowing larger models and datasets to be handled locally without constantly relying on external systems. The 4TB NVMe M.2 SSD is another welcome inclusion, providing plenty of fast storage for models, development environments and project files. The Blackwell architecture is the real attraction, bringing NVIDIA’s latest generation of AI-focused technology to a remarkably compact desktop platform. For developers, researchers and enth...

The Red Light Therapy LED Face Mask: Series 2 is the sort of skincare gadget that initially feels a little futuristic, but quickly becomes surprisingly easy to work into a daily routine. Designed to deliver light-based skincare treatment at home, it combines a sleek, wearable design with a straightforward approach that requires very little effort. The mask itself feels well made and thoughtfully designed. Its lightweight construction makes it reasonably comfortable to wear, while the adjustable fit helps it sit securely without feeling excessively tight. The LED lights are bright, of course, but once you settle into the experience, it is easy enough to relax, read or simply switch off for a few minutes. It is worth noting that wearing any rigid facial device takes a little getting used to, particularly around the nose and eye area. Where the Series 2 really appeals is its simplicity. There is no complicated routine to learn: put the mask on, start the treatment and carry on with your e...

The Nike Men’s Air Max SC is the sort of everyday trainer that gets a lot right without trying too hard. With its familiar Air Max-inspired styling, layered upper and low-profile shape, it has a sporty look that feels equally at home with jeans, joggers or casual weekend wear. The design is understated enough for everyday use, yet the visible Air cushioning gives it a little extra character. Comfort is where the Air Max SC makes the strongest impression. The cushioning provides a pleasantly soft feel underfoot, while the padded collar and tongue add useful support around the ankle. It is not an especially technical running shoe, but for walking, commuting and general day-to-day wear, it offers a comfortable balance between cushioning and stability. The fit feels fairly straightforward, although those with wider feet may want to consider trying a larger size before buying. Build quality is generally reassuring. The combination of mesh and synthetic overlays gives the shoe a layered...
